The Position 

Lori is seeking a Transport BD Associate who will be the liaison between our company and its current and potential customers and partners.

Roles and responsibilities

General

  • Create systems to optimize processes and workflows

Transport

  • Retain and grow key transporter accounts

  • Lead the Transport Acquisition and Account Management teams

  • Identify and Develop special relationships with key transporters and potential transporters to drive growth on the platform

  • Work with the transport management team to further build sales and account management skills

  • Customer Focus: responsible for coordinating with other departments to resolve any client service issues, and communicate resolution to clients

Inland Container Depot (ICD)

  • Onboarding new transporters from ICD

  • Getting ECTS compliant trucks for local shunting

  • Engage procurement, sales, and CSC teams

  • Sales focused on new customer acquisition

  • Procurement focused on new transporter onboarding

  • Ensure proper handover is done to CSC for each account

  • Assurance of using designed CRMs

  • Support collections in cooperation with finance

 What you bring to the table

  • Strong verbal and negotiation skills

  • Very high ability to handle a lot of pressure and takes full ownership of role

  • Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types

  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively

  • Fluency in Kiswahili and English
