The Position

Lori is seeking a Recruiting Manager who will be based in our Nairobi office. He/she will be responsible for designing and overseeing our company’s hiring efforts. You will be responsible for sourcing, attracting and hiring job candidates for open positions. You will also update current recruiting procedures, design new recruiting procedures, supervise your recruiting team and keep track of recruiting metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Update current and design new recruiting procedures

  • Supervise the recruiting team and report on its performance

  • Keep track of recruiting metrics

  • Implement new sourcing methods

  • Advise hiring managers on interviewing techniques

  • Recommend ways to improve our employer brand

  • Coordinate with department managers to forecast future hiring needs

  • Stay up-to-date on labor legislation and inform recruiters and managers about changes in regulations

  • Participate in job fairs and career events

  • Build the company’s professional network through relationships with HR professionals, colleges and other partners

Requirements

  • Passion for Lori’s mission

  • 5+ years of experience in recruiting or similar role

  • Excellent understanding of recruitment processes

  • Good knowledge of candidates’ selection methods

  • Good understanding of Employer Branding strategies

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Good interpersonal, presentation and communication skills

  • Good time-management skills

  • BS degree in Human Resources or related field

  • A strategic mind that is focused on execution

  • High attention to detail

  • Willingness and ability to get into the weeds and solve the problems at hand if needed

  • Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
